Expertise in seals: Ten-year commitment of a VDMA support society

Seals are sensitive components of all technical products. This applies especially to pneumatically and hydraulically powered products in fluid power. Seals are always located in the most critical positions – at the joints between products. Most are small, inconspicuous and invisible, yet they are still irreplaceable high-tech products that have to be constantly adapted to changing requirements.

New fluid classification under the Pressure Equipment Directive - but hardly any changes in practice

On June 1, 2015, the European Chemicals Directive 67/548/EEC was finally replaced by the European Chemicals Regulation 1272/2008, also known as the CLP Regulation (CLP = Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Chemicals). This also changed the legal basis on which the hazard classification of fluids was previously carried out under the European Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC (PED).
